YouthPower Energy Camp is designed to help develop leadership skills, have summertime fun, and at the same time learn about one of rural America’s most important industries – rural electrification. This is a yearly weeklong summer camp where campers experience electricity in a new light! Each year, more than 80 students across Oklahoma participate.

Information for the 2024 YOUTHPOWER Energy Camp Contest will be sent to schools in January or February. Contest rules will be announced in January 2024. Energy Camp will be May 28-31, 2024

Camp Winners will enjoy a trip to Red Rock Canyon State Park in Hinton, Oklahoma.

Choctaw Electric Cooperative selects three eighth-grade students to attend the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperative's YouthPower Energy Camp, a four-day summer camp at Red Rock Canyon near Hinton, OK.
Activities include:
Pizza parties, dances, volleyball, hiking, swimming, basketball, football and games.
